About the Deer Ridge Community - Quiet Location

Although Deer Ridge does not have a community association, Deer Run has a large center for Deer Ridge residents to access and there are plenty of activities for kids as the area has many young families.The Deer Valley Shopping Center at the corners of Bow Bottom Trail and Canyon Meadows Drive have numerous shops, restaurants, and other franchise stores available for southeast residents in the area.

Two of the four communities in this southeast part of Calgary have a mix of detached and attached homes and townhouses although Deer Ridge and Diamond Cove are predominately detached homes. Development in the Community of Deer Ridge began in 1978. The community is just north of Deer Run and South of Queensland and Diamond Cove Estates. The Bow River and Fish Creek Provincial Park form the eastern and southern boundaries of Deer Run.
